Demetra has had the opportunity to share her love of music with many students through performing children's operas, giving master classes and workshops, and also teaching private lessons. Her objective in teaching is to inspire her students' creative growth while building their musical knowledge and technical capability.  The reward of accomplishment through dedication and a commitment to the study of an artistic discipline is a framework which extends to all types of learning.

Demetra teaches voice privately in Manhattan. She was formerly on the voice and piano faculty at the Crestwood Music School in Westchester.  As part of the Body & Spirit program at Rutgers Church in Manhattan, she has taught classes in music appreciation and co-taught a musical theatre workshop for children. She has also taught voice and piano at The Performing Arts Center at the Bronx House.
